a sunday diary
Is there anything better than a bucket of popcorn and a Ryan Gosling movie?
I don't think so.
It's crazy to me how much worth each day holds. So many beautiful, little moments squeezed into just 24 hours. Each day is truly a new chance for a lovely adventure, spontaneous or planned. I thought I'd tell you about mine.

Just like every Sunday, the day started with church. I was exhausted, because, in my opinion, Saturday nights are for late-night movies. But still, it was a great sermon and it gave me strength for the week ahead. I love going to church because it sets up the day up for success. I also love the simple act of dressing up and that feeling of "there's still more weekend to be had!"
For lunch, my mom and I went to our church's turkey dinner and OH MY GOSH it was so good. There's something so comforting about a homemade meal, especially one involving mashed potatoes and gravy. I love spending one-on-one time like this with my mom because I feel like every single time we sit down and talk, we learn even more about each other.
My mom and I also stopped at our local orchard and bought some apples, caramel, cider, and two cute little pumpkins I hot-glued into a centerpiece! This orchard's goods are amazing this time of year.
Throughout the day, I had to do a little homework but it was far less than normal so YAY! I have a chemistry essay due later this week and I had such a bad case of writer's block- so I'm writing this first to clear my head!
I've been wanting to see First Man with Ryan Gosling for SO long now, and today it finally happened! My dad and I went and got buttered popcorn and slushies- yum yum yum ! We loved the film, and the last scene will forever be my favorite. There's such an unspoken beauty in the whole thing. The director, Damien Chazelle, also directed La La Land, so no wonder I loved it! I'm not a huge fan of space movies, but I am a huge fan of Ryan Gosling and that overrides all else.
And now, here I am, eating leftovers, watching The Office /writing this and soon to be reluctantly working on my chem essay before going to bed.
I don't think so.

How did you spend your day?
Always remember that each day has something to offer. Stop, take a moment, and be grateful for it.
