a midweek reminder

I've been asking myself a lot of questions lately. Am I doing the best I possibly can? Am I doing what I'm supposed to be doing in this season of life? Honestly, right now it feels like I'm not doing either.

It would be easy to get really down on this feeling. To let it sink in and say to myself- you are NOT doing what you could be doing. You could be taking more AP classes, you could be doing more *teen things*, you could be doing BETTER.
It would be so easy to let my mind run down this path and think of all the things I could be doing. It's much harder to be proud of yourself and think about all the things you ARE doing.
And let me just say, just because you think you should be doing something doesn't mean you should. God has a plan for you, and as long as you keep in touch with Him and seek His wisdom you will will be doing the right thing.
So if you feel like you should be doing more with your life right now; take a step back and ask if there's really something you need to change or if it's comparison speaking.
Just know that you are doing all you can do right now, and you're doing great at it.

"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."
Proverbs 16:3
