Stay Chic & Warm This Winter!

Hey fellow fashionistas! Living in a cold weather state, Winter fashion can be straight up depressing… am I right?  An important thing to keep in mind when dressing for the cold: comfort is key! This doesn't mean sweatpants…. but a cute sweater with jeans & boots offers ultimate comfort + a chic look!
Her are a few tips, tricks, essentials, and an outfit idea for keeping cute (and warm) in Winter!

~~~~~~~~~~~~Essentials~~~~~~~~~~~~

1. Have a cute pair of snow boots! I don't mean cute Uggs or any other comfort boot… but the boots you can do winter activities in! This way if you need to quickly run an errand, you can throw these on & not have to worry about getting a little snow on them.. :)

2. Sweater// Long sleeve dresses! No need to wear pants all of winter! Dresses can still be casual, and totally comfy! You can stock up on a few of these to pair with some fun tights or leggings. If you want to be super warm, add a cardigan and have your tights pretty thick.

3. Blanket Scarves! Do I need to say more..? I mean, you're basically wearing a blanket… (ultimate chic + comfort) :)

Although neutrals are way easier to pull off + they match anything, they can get really overused in winter. I dare you to step out of our color comfort zone, and try some bright shades! Stand out in a crowd of neutrals!  Keep nice yellows, pinks, and blues stocked up in your closet. Plan outfits ahead of time, so you won't be so afraid of rocking your bright hues. 

Having trouble picking outfits? There's an app for that! (so shocking…:) Closet+ is an awesome free app that helps you catalogue your clothes through pictures. You can pair outfits together on your phone! It might take a while to start cataloging your clothes, but it's so worth it! I use this app all the time.

This outfit is really easy, and super chic! It has a laid back feel, without feeling too sloppy! 
The only thing I didn't add-- some bright colors!

I did some neutral layering, going light to dark. I started off with a white collared shirt, and then I added the grey sweater. I topped it off with a black thermal jacket. I incorporated my favorite J.Crew jeans, and this fun H&M beanie. ((black boots not pictured.))

The First Week Of School- OOTW

Hey guys! Back to school season is here, and I have mixed emotions. I'm super excited for Fall fashion, but I hate leaving behind the relaxing days of Summer!  The first week is a super stressful time, but having cute outfits makes it a lot easier!  Here are 5 outfits to inspire you, and to personalize for your own style.
