Outfit~ Sweater Weather

Image
Hey fellow fashionistas! Again... long time no see. I have been packed lately with before break assignments, but I'm still really sorry for the lack of posts! Anyhoo, Christmas break is almost here! You bet I'm counting down the days till Christmas, but more specifically break. Although it's only Tuesday, this week is already really stressful. So many fun holiday things, and then there's school. But..... today I'm here to show you guys specifically an outfit for holiday parties, going with friends, etc. Anything holiday..... this outfit will work. Living in a cold climate, I know the important of warmth. I'm always so jealous when I see FL bloggers adorable winter outfits! I have to be more cautious of the weather, but I still want to have a cute outfit. Sweaters have really saved me on this one, and I love the simplicity of this creme one. Plus, it's super cozy and warm!  For jewelry, I went delicate. I love this floral bracelet and this necklace is m...

Outfit 1~ Sporty

Image
Hey fellow fashionistas! Time for my first style tribe outfit post!! Sporty!! I identify with a lot of style tribes. I have always been open to new tribes to try, but sporty is one tribe I have never identified with!! I did not feel educated enough on this tribe to show you guys an outfit...... but luckily my sister is very sporty! We had a chat on things she likes to wear, and the number one stereotype that the sporty tribe members deal with. So here we go.. let's start with the top 3 essentials for sporty. These are obviously not the only clothes you need, just a few staples key to this tribe. *Fitted Sport Jacket... Remember** Quality is very important, especially for a nice item like this. These can last a long time, and spending a bit more for high quality is okay. ( the North Face has super cute ones ) *Sneakers... These can range from so many things. Find a style that fits you and your personality. *A cute watch! This is a staple jewelry item... and it fits your go-to s...

Style Tribe Series- Intro

Image
Hey fellow fashionistas! It has been a long  time since my last post! I have been traveling, and finishing the end-of trimester assignments...... and there hasn't been a lot of time for blogging. But... I'm back! I have been so excited about this new series! I will be featuring outfits for every style tribe. I have gotten a lot of inspo from  Penny Chic  ... her book was so amazing! One thing it talked about was style tribes. I decided to recreate this into a series. I thought of some new style tribes... and switched out some I didn't find relevant. So.... here are my 6 style tribes of fashion with a brief explanation. *Classic- You like practical outfits with some fun flare. The good thing about "classics" is they never go out of style. *Sporty- You like clothes that are easy for on-the-go and still are put together. Go-to does not mean to give up the "chic." *Girly- Ruffles, Bows, peplum. Jk! You like things with lots of bells and whistles, and you...

And the houndstooth lining totally makes the coat!! Rolling up the cuffs shows a bit of pattern!  Sorry… I could not find this specific coat online, but Luii Clothing has some other amazing coats on their website.  This bag is  Micheal Kors Let's just say I had a freak out when I found this at Marshalls for $60! Monthly Must Haves

Image
Hey fellow fashionistas! Time for monthly must haves! At the end of each month, I will rave about my 10 favorite finds for the month! Hope you enjoy!! 1 & 2 (Hair favorites)  I have stick straight hair, and I can not stand it. Even after I wake up, my hair just sits straight. There is never any volume or texture. I have tried a lot of products to make my hair more voluminous. They never seem to work, and if they do it's only for a small window of time. I recently got a haircut, and my stylist recommended these products. I was hesitant after trying so many things that did not work...... but I decided to give them a try. After a few days of using these products, I could instantly start to see more volume. I love them!! The one on the left is for your ends. It doesn't really add volume, but it is important to always keep your ends strong...... Split ends will have an effect on your volume. You can find this  here The texture and root lift spray, (adds volume:) you can...

DIY Inspiration Board

Image
Hey fellow fashionistas!! Believe me, I am not your crafting diva. But I was determined to make this board. Today I'm going to be showing you how to make your very own inspiration board! I love this idea!! I can't even remember where I saw this…. it seems like they are everywhere! Basically, an inspiration board is to give you ideas…… for outfits, designs, art, pretty much everything.  Here is a list of things you will need~ 1. A magnetic or pin board.  2. Double sided tape or push pins 3. Scissors 4. Any old magazine you enjoy, be ready to cut it up :) Directions!  1. Find anything in your magazines that pop out at you. Color Combos, Trends, basically anything you like!  2. Cut it out, and double stick tape the back to your board. I used a magnetic board, so you could use magnets. I just did not want to cover any of the picture. If you have a pin board, you can also use push pins.  3. You're done! Hang it up and enjoy!!  By the way, ...

Gab With Gracie- Project Runway

Image
Hey fellow fashionistas! I know, two posts in a day?! I just couldn't leave the Project Runway finale alone! I needed to gab!!!! It was so dramatic!! So, here I go…. what I thought of the Project Runway finale. Feel free to comment your thoughts!         So, as many of you know the final 4 consisted of Char, Sean, Amanda, and my personal favorite Kini. After one episode I gravitated towards Kini and Amanda, who both fortunately made it to the final 4. I especially loved Kini's work, and his sweet attitude and love for his family. When it was time to eliminate someone for the last time, I was hoping for Char to leave. Nothing personal, I just didn't enjoy really any of her designs. Emily, who did get eliminated, I thought would have done a great job on NYFW. I was really disappointed when Char continued. When the designers were asked to show a preview of their collection before NYFW, the judges basically told Kini to redo his whole collection in a...

Image
Hey fellow fashionistas! I am feeling very under-the-weather today. Like… seriously…UGH. So, I decided it would be appropriate for today's post to be a sick day essentials and outfit! Now, you probably are wondering, why am I showing an outfit idea when I can really just wear pajamas all day. I'm talking more about if you have to go somewhere out of the house. Like… let's just say you have to pick up medicine……. you're not going to wear PJ's…  Maybe you are… whatever. But, for the people who like to get dressed on sick days… keep reading!         Let's start off with essentials. 1. A sleepy day playlist. I don't know about you, but sleepy and sad music really relaxes me. If an upbeat tempo is more your style, go ahead! Use whatever works for you.  2. A big glass of water… with or without fruit. It's very important to stay hydrated all the time, but especially when you're sick.  3. A good book! I t...

Welcome!

Image
Hey, fellow fashionistas! Welcome to my blog! I am new to the whole blogging thing…… so you're gonna have to bear with me. Basically, I just want to share my passion for fashion with the world. I believe that fashion not only can inspire others, but it can also raise your self-confidence. I know, we all have those days where we really just want to throw on sweatpants. But I am encouraging all of you to go the extra mile, and put on something that you love and makes you feel good. This doesn't mean to give up being comfy, cozy, and casual, it just means to put thought into what you wear and how it makes you feel.     Anyways, for my first post I wanted you guys to get to know me a little better! I decided the easiest way to do this is to just list some randoms facts about me! So, here we go… 10 random facts about me… 1. I'm obsessed with project runway, and I mean OBSESSED.  2. I'm really into home design…which explains my constant urge to rede...
